CHALLENGES AND APPROACH FOR THE LES 100 CIELS PROJECT

Located in the heart of London, Les 100 Ciels commissioned Soho Shopfitters to deliver a full interior refurbishment of their boutique fashion store. With a strong focus on natural materials, softness, and elegance, the goal was to craft a space that felt both luxurious and calming—mirroring the brand’s identity.

We were tasked with transforming the store from top to bottom, incorporating bespoke display counters, handcrafted detailing, and a refined Venetian plaster finish across the walls and fittings. The entire project was carried out with precision and care, balancing artisan techniques with a modern retail edge. From initial design discussions to the final polish, our team worked in close collaboration with the client to ensure every detail aligned with the brand’s creative vision.

About the Client: LES 100 CIELS

Les 100 Ciels is a luxury fashion label focused on refined, timeless pieces made from the finest natural fibres—particularly cashmere. Known for their minimal, clean aesthetic and ethical production, their retail spaces are designed to reflect this ethos of understated elegance.

Their Bond Street location required a full refresh to align with the brand’s evolving retail direction. Soho Shopfitters were brought in to manage and deliver the complete refit.

Scope of Work

This was a full interior refurbishment with handcrafted design elements and high-end finishing techniques.

We transformed the store with new layout structures, minimalistic counters, and custom-built display units. Venetian plasterwork added a beautifully smooth and tactile feel throughout, subtly catching the light and bringing warmth to the neutral palette. The result was a premium retail environment that invites calm, exploration, and quality-focused shopping.

Bespoke counter fabrication – handmade and built onsite to match architectural lines

Full decoration – including lighting updates, trims, and brand-consistent tones
Venetian plaster finishes – applied to walls and units for an artisan feel

Challenges and Solutions

The key challenge with this project was creating a completely refined finish within a tight retail space, while managing the layering process required for Venetian plaster—a technique that demands both time and craftsmanship.

All plastering was done by hand, with several layers built up and polished to achieve the final effect. We also had to ensure absolute consistency in tone across walls, counters, and shelving. Our in-house team managed both the plastering and joinery to deliver a seamless finish.

The finished store is a masterclass in quiet luxury. The layered plaster surfaces, soft lighting, and natural wood tones create a serene retail space with a timeless aesthetic.
